Decades of working on, buying and valuing vehicles is what lets us read a set of photos, service records and repair quotes and document what a vehicle is actually worth in its real condition.
What we do
We complete signed FIN 320 Motor Vehicle Appraisal Forms — the Province of BC's own form for documenting a vehicle's value for PST purposes — entirely online, for drivers anywhere in British Columbia. You send photos and sale details; we assess your vehicle's supported private-sale retail value and deliver your signed appraisal by email. Standard service is $79 + tax.
How we value your vehicle
Book values are averages. Your vehicle is not average: its mileage, mechanical condition, body condition and history all move its real value. We start from comparable private-sale values for your year, make, model and trim, then adjust for the condition your photos and documents support. Repair quotes are useful evidence, but a repair estimate is not automatically a dollar-for-dollar deduction — we document what the market would actually pay.
The appraised value on a FIN 320 is a private-sale retail value — not a trade-in value, and never a number picked to hit a target. When the supported value cannot save you more than our fee, we say so and refund you. Save more than our fee, or we refund it.
What we don't do
An appraisal is not a mechanical inspection, and it is not an insurance-claim valuation. We do not certify a vehicle's roadworthiness, and a PST appraisal does not determine an ICBC total-loss settlement. We also never promise a particular tax outcome: PST is calculated on the greater of your purchase price and the appraised value, and the Ministry of Finance makes all refund decisions.
